Since 2011, Bastien teaches Contact Improvisation in regular workshops, masterclasses and festivals in France and abroad (Germany, Spain, Italy, Israel, USA, Russia, Ukraine, India). He trained in dance by traveling and working with many teachers of CI, instant composition and somatic technics. Since few years, teaching CI is his main job.

His approach to body dynamics  is linked with the existing movements in nature (microcosm and macrocosm) and with the 5 elements, spirals, and more.
He is also a dance perfomer, a geologist, and a geobiologist. He practice meditation, contemplative dance, Authentic Movement, and he attaches a great importance to the poetry and the invisible in the dance.

I would like to invite those who want to deepen some techniques of contact improvisation.
I would like to share our curiosity based on movements of the nature phenomena that surround us.
I would like to explore our dances inspired by our close environnement.

During theses classes, I would like us to focus on three main technical areas:

# Our ability to ground and connect with the earth, to strengthen our stability in weight transfer while remaining mobile.
# Our mastery of choosing our speed, based on the interaction between three main centers (center of mass, anatomical center, visual center).
# Knowing how to create momentum in chosen spaces thanks to the elastic torsion of our body. Using spirals as a limitless creative tool. 

The poetry of the living, the softness of touch, the fluidity, the tone, and the authenticity of being, can be like a matrix for the creativity of our improvisations!
