andrzej woźniak (1984) – contact improvisation practitioner and teacher, interested in the improvisational nature and the artistic potential of dance. works mostly in his hometown, warsaw, and occasionally abroad (germany, croatia, bulgaria, japan). certified in bmc and shiatsu, performs with a punk band ułła, published a book with poetry.
let’s imagine centre-to-centre weight exchange doesn’t exist. wouldn’t this feel thrilling and refreshing? all well known and fancy pathways suddenly gone, mores space between the bodies to fill up with something else: shapes, observation, rhythm etc. the idea for these classes is not to forget what we have learned, but to practice more sprained imagination, try out weird things, suspend the belief there’s an aesthetics which equals proficiency in contact improvisation. let’s see how it works. it’s gonna be bumpy for sure, and probably a lot of fun.
